    Nairobi
    Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, is situated in the center of the country at an altitude of 1,700 meters, at the foot of the Aberdare Mountains. It is one of the largest cities in East Africa and a major road and rail hub connecting Mombasa and Kampala. Founded by the British in 1899, it became the capital in 1905. Nairobi is home to the National Museum of Kenya and the Karen Blixen Museum. Nearby lies Nairobi National Park. Average temperatures range from 20 to 25 °C, and the best time to visit is from June to October.
